The Argument AGAINST Time Management...

"Making the time" means nothing if your energy isn't working in your favor.

It's not about time management, it's about energy management. We could have all the time in the world, but with no energy, all that time is spent taking steps to revitalize energy. We can also do more with less time if our energy is balanced correctly.

We all have energy, but not all use it the same way. In fact, there are four distinct types of human energy that can be used to help us reach our goals and live more fulfilling lives. Understanding these four types of energy can help identify where your energy is depleting too quickly or where you may need to find more balance.

The first type of energy is physical energy. This is the energy we use to move our bodies and do physical activities such as running, lifting weights, or playing sports. Physical energy is important for maintaining good health and staying active. It can also be used to help us focus on tasks and stay productive throughout the day.

The second type of energy is mental energy. We use this energy to think, analyze, and problem-solve. Mental energy helps us make decisions, learn new skills, and creatively solve difficult problems. It’s important for staying sharp and keeping our minds engaged in whatever task we’re working on.

The third type of energy is emotional energy. This is the energy we use to express ourselves through feelings such as joy, sadness, anger, or fear. Emotional energy helps us connect with others and build meaningful relationships. It also helps us process difficult emotions so that we can move forward in life with a sense of peace and understanding.

The fourth type of energy is spiritual energy. This is the energy we use to connect with something greater than ourselves – whether it’s nature, a higher power, or simply our own inner wisdom. Spiritual energy helps us find meaning in life and gives us a sense of purpose beyond just our physical needs and desires.

A healthy, well-functioning system is having a balance of these energies. A healthy balanced breakfast won't mean as much if you spend your entire day in a toxic work environment that overstimulates your nervous system. In the same way, it makes it pretty hard to stay mentally focused if your mind continues to drift to the feeling of your grumbly stomach.

Check out these top 3 tips from Harvard Health Publishing to boost your energy naturally-

1. Control stress

Stress-induced emotions consume huge amounts of energy. Talking with a friend or relative, joining a support group, or seeing a psychotherapist can all help diffuse stress. Relaxation therapies like meditation, self-hypnosis, yoga, and tai chi are also effective tools for reducing stress.

2. Lighten your load

One of the main reasons for fatigue is overwork. Overwork can include professional, family, and social obligations. Try to streamline your list of "must-do" activities. Set your priorities in terms of the most important tasks. Pare down those that are less important. Consider asking for extra help at work, if necessary.

3. Exercise

Exercise almost guarantees that you'll sleep more soundly. It also gives your cells more energy to burn and circulates oxygen. And exercising can lead to higher brain dopamine levels, which helps elevate mood. When walking, pick up the pace periodically to get extra health benefits.
